Rev. Dr. Heather W. McColl, Pastor

Rev. Dr. McColl has served as minister of Midway Christian Church since August 2006. She is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a BS degree in Child Development. She earned her Masters of Divinity degree in 2002 and a Doctor of Ministry degree in 2019, from Lexington Theological Seminary.

Heather is married to Rev. Michael McColl, Minister of Children and Youth at Lawrenceburg First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and as Minister for Youth and Young Adult Ministries at the Christian Church in Kentucky. They have a daughter, Hannah and son Jonathan.

Teena Chinn, Music Director

Teena joined the staff of Midway Christian in November 2016 as Choir Director. A little over a year later, she was named Music Director after adding the role of accompanist and Hand Bell Choir Director to her duties. She previously served as Director of Music for Methodist churches in Virginia and Michigan, as well as worked as a professional composer/arranger for Warner Bros. Publications in Miami.

Teena has family in the central Kentucky area and resides in Midway.

James Batts, Audio Visual Technician

A lifelong MCC member, James joined the Technology Team of Midway Christian Church as a volunteer in early summer 2021. He proved to be a great asset and was hired as the audio visual technician on July 1, 2021. He works alongside volunteers to produce the Sunday morning service live streams.

We are grateful that James has chosen to share his skills, his love of technology, and his love of church with us and the commumity.

Jestine Johnson, Custodian

Jestine has served as our custodian since 1956! His care for this church has kept this historic building in excellent shape.

As has been said in honor of him, “Preachers come and go, but there is always Jestine!”
